CHARLOTTE -- Carolina Panthers coach John Fox said on an interview on "Panther Talk" radio Monday night that he expects to be back next season.
That's a change from Fox's comments after the season where he was noncommittal about his future here.
"Going in front of the press group (on Sunday), you're fresh off a win," Fox told Panthers play-by-play man Mick Mixon on the show that aired on WBT-AM last night. "I don't have a lot of answers at this point other than I have a year remaining on my contract. I see myself being back here a year from now. That's just the way it is. It starts there and we'll move forward from that."

It could be that Fox realizes he doesn't have many options around the league if he wanted to move on.
Mixon taped the interview before the show.
Fox has one more year left on his contract and will make more than $6 million in 2010. However, the team has decided not to extend his contract meaning he will enter next season as a lame duck coach.
